“The old-fashioned strategy of fabrication and disinformation to get detailed and accurate information which is seriously being used by enemies of the interests of both the Iranian and Chinese nations will lead nowhere,” the spokesman tweeted late on Tuesday, according to IRNA.

“The Joint Statement of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Iran and China is a clear roadmap and principled guide for relations between the two major countries in the future world, where China, as the world’s leading economic power in the near future, and Iran as the great power of the West Asian region, can withstand the pressure of bullies with complementary relationships and ensure common interests,” Mousavi said.

He dismissed certain claims about ceding of the Iranian islands to China based on the Iran-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership plan and stressed, “There is nothing about ceding Iranian islands, presence of military forces or other illusions.”
