On Thursday, Iranians of all walks of life begun staging rallies across the country to mark the National Day of the Fight against Global Arrogance, shouting slogans against the US and Israeli regimes over their inhumane, hegemonic actions.

This year’s ceremony was coincided with a great military achievement by the IRGC in dueling with the U.S. forces and taking back Iran’s pirated oil.

Forty-two years ago on November 4, Iranian students took over the American embassy in Tehran, also known in Iran as the “Den of Espionage,” less than a year after the Islamic Revolution toppled the US-backed Pahlavi dictatorship in 1979.

The occasion was then named the National Day of the Fight against Global Arrogance. November 4 also marks National Student Day.

Each year, Iranians commemorate the National Day of the Fight against Global Arrogance by staging rallies across the country. Last year’s events were canceled due to an increase in COVID-19 infections, this year’s events are being held across the nation while people observe health protocols.

Rallies were held on Thursday in Tehran and some 800 cities and towns across the country.

Every year, demonstrators in Tehran gather outside the former headquarters of the US embassy, chanting “Down with the U.S.” and “Down with Israel,” Washington’s closest ally, to show their anger with the actions of what is known in Iran as “Global Arrogance.”

In a statement, the Iranian Army said Aban 13 (November 4) is reminiscent of three major events in Iran’s contemporary history.

It explained that on November 4, 1964, Imam Khomeini, who founded the Islamic Revolution in 1979, was sent to Turkey, where he began a life of more than 14 years in exile “due to the Pahlavi regime’s inability against the Imam’s determination.”

The Army then referred to the massacre of dozens of pupils during a protest on November 4, 1978 by the Shah regime’s forces as the day that “watered the seedling of the Revolution,” while describing November 4, 1979 as the day students foiled the enemy’s conspiracy by taking over the US embassy in Tehran.

A statement was also read out during the nationwide events, reaffirming the Islamic Republic’s support for the cause of al-Quds and the Palestinian resistance, and also for the Lebanese resistance group Hezbollah, Yemen’s Houthi Ansarullah movement, Bahraini protesters and the popular Iraqi and Syrian forces.

They are the “powerful army of the Islamic Ummah (community)” against the “system of global domination and Zionism” and regional reactionary regimes, the statement said.

It condemned the normalization agreements between certain regional countries and Israel, urging those countries’ rulers to reconsider their decision and end their relations with the occupying regime.

Referring to the abject failure of the United States’ approaches and policies toward West Asia, especially those in Iraq and Syria, as well as its humiliating withdrawal from Afghanistan, the statement said such recurring phenomenon is a symbol of the “acceleration of the US decline” and the outcome of regional nations’ resistance and perseverance under the Iranian-led discourse of resistance and unity against the Global Arrogance.

It called on regional nations to beware of the White House’s conspiracies, pointing to the latest terrorist attacks in Afghanistan’s mosques as an example.

Elsewhere, the statement highlighted the importance of using the classified documents acquired during the U.S. embassy takeover for the purpose of familiarizing the younger generations of Iran with Washington’s conspiracies.

The Iranian administration and parliament should prevent “the evil, malicious, and criminal actions of the Americans in Islamic community from fading into oblivion,” it added.

This event and statement shows Iran’s determination in fight with the world arrogance and it will not let the Americans  threat its national interests.

The Islamic Republic of Iran since the embassy takeover and severing diplomatic ties with the U.S. has progressed well especially in the military field so that it can now bravely stand against any military plot of Americans.

Recent U.S. move for pirating Iran’s oil and the brave reaction of the IRGC Navy forces in thwarting this plot is another golden leaf in the history of Iran’s independence and its fight against global arrogance.

So the U.S. is recommended to leave the region and not to mess with the Islamic Republic of Iran’s forces because they will be a real loser as they have experienced in the past several defeats one after the other.

The brave Iranian military forces will not let the Americans do any harm against Iran’s interests and if the Americans are looking for more humiliations, so they can continue their plots but they should not forget this point that as the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution has reiterated, the era of hit-and-run is over and Americans have to pay more for any mischievous act. The U.S. Embassy takeover was a beginning for the U.S. decline and this humiliation of the Americans goes on.

And this year’s November 4 was observed with another humiliation and blow to the U.S. forces and God willing these proud achievements will continue in any field and scene if the nation remains united.

The US government has left no stone unturned to tarnish the real image of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the international level since the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.

Then, lawmakers chanted the slogan of “Death to America” on the occasion of Aban 13 which marks the US Embassy Takeover.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he noted that Aban 13 is not only the day of the takeover of the US Embassy (Den of Espionage) but also is the day of resistance of the founding father of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini (RA).

About 43 years ago on this day, the Pahlavi regime arrested the late Imam Khomeini (RA) and exiled him to neighboring Turkey.

Iranian Parliament celebrates this historic day and believes that today anti-arrogance and fighting against arrogance have a more objective meaning, he said, adding, “Focusing on domestic capability and being powerful in all areas and coercive policies of the United States in the world requires taking a passive stance and surrendering to the coercion and extravagance of Western governments, especially the United States, which is not based on any human, legal or international principles.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, he pointed to the cruel and unjust US sanctions imposed against Iranian people over the past four decades and  added, “In the current situation that Iran is grappling with the outbreak of coronavirus, COVID-19, the United States prevents sending any medical and pharmaceutical supplies to the Islamic Republic of Iran in order to contain the disease.”

Under such circumstances, the Islamic Republic of Iran has relied on its own capabilities and potentials to tackle problems, he said, adding, “Producing and manufacturing medical supplies in the fight against coronavirus is a clear example of domestic capability in the country.”

In May 2018, US President Donald Trump had pulled his country out of the nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which was achieved in Vienna in 2015 after years of negotiations among Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany).

In remarks on Sunday, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said the dispute between Tehran and Washington has its roots in the 1953 coup, led by the US and UK intelligence agencies against the country

“The Americans distort history and pretend that the Iran-US disputes stem from the takeover of the US embassy. No! It goes back to the 1953 coup d’état, when the US overthrew a national government – which, of course, had made the mistake of trusting the United States – and established its corrupt and puppet government in Iran,” the Leader said in a gathering of students.

The nationwide rallies to mark the 1979 takeover of US embassy in Tehran began on Sunday morning under the motto of “Hayhat Minna al-Dhilla (no to humiliation!)”.

In the capital city of Tehran, the rally was held at the venue of the former US embassy, which is known by Iranians as the “Den of Espionage”.

It included a speech delivered by Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari.

During the rallies, the demonstrators chanted slogans against the US and Israel and condemned US President Donald Trump’s aggressive policies and stances against the Islamic Republic.
