Iran Had Nothing to Lose against Spain: Michael Rostampour
Iran power forward Michael Rostampour says that they had nothing to lose in the match against Spain in Group C of the 2019 FIBA World Cup.

Team Melli lost to the world’s No. 2 basketball team 73-65 on Wednesday.

Now, the Iranian team must play the Philippines and Angola in Group N.

“We played with passion. We played like how Iran wants to play. Spain is a championship contender. It comes down to execution at the end of the game,” Rostampour said.

“We didn’t do it, they did. We had nothing to lose. Everybody felt embarrassed about the two losses. We wanted to leave the city with our heads high and I thought we did that,” he added.
