Call for Elimination of Brokers Iran-Russia Trade
TEHRAN - Deputy Provincial Governor of Russian Southern Province of Saratov Mr. Alexei Vladimirovich Sterlinkov met head of Mazandaran Province Chamber of Commerce Mr. Abdollah Mahajer Darabi in Sari, Capital of Mazandaran Province, and during the meeting both sides called for elimination of brokers in trade between both countries.

During the meeting, Mr Darabi pointed to the commonalities between Mazandaran and Saratov in terms of their agro products and this economic commonality in agro section can strengthen economic link between both provinces.

He added that Mazandaran Province is also in good condition in terms of industry which can meet Saratov Province’s needs, and expansion of trade cooperation depends on endeavors of both states for implementing the bilateral agreements.

Darabi also called for removal of hurdles in way of progress in relation between Mazandaran and Saratov, and officials of both provinces are determined to do so.

He said the major hurdle for expansion of bilateral trade is infrastructural.

Mr. Sterlinkov, for his part, called for elimination of brokers in port of entries for exports of Russian goods especially from Saratov Province to Iran, adding that currently most of Russian products like meat product from Saratov are exported to Iran through several brokers.

He added that it happens while Saratov officials for direct exports want goods to Iran as both sides have good bilateral cooperation and the third party should be eliminated.

He noted that Saratov is ready to provide Iran with meat and in return Iran provides Saratov with chicken.

Sterlinkov added that currently the cooperation between Iran and Russia is excellent and high-ranking officials of both countries welcome bilateral cooperation. He added that Saratov Province is one of the top provinces of Russia in terms of agro products.
