Persepolis drew 1-1 with Tractor Sazi in Tabriz’s Yadegar-e Emam Stadium. Kamal Kamyabinia scored for Persepolis in the 11th minute and Danial Esmaeilifar leveled the score in the 79th minute.
In Tehran’s Azadi Stadium, Esteghlal defeated Esteghlal Khuzestan 4-2 under guidance of its new head coach Farhad Majidi.
Esmael Goncalves opened the scoring for the Blues in the 26th minute but Farid Amiri canceled out the goal two minutes later.
Esteghlal substitute Reza Karimi was on target in the 68th minute but Ayoub Kalantari found the back of the net from the penalty spot in the 79th minute to equalize the match.
With four minutes remaining, Morteza Tabrizi scored with a header and Ali Karimi scored Esteghlal’s fourth goal in the 90th minute.
Persepolis remains top of the table with 57 points, four points ahead of Esteghlal.
Sepahan is third with 51 points with one game in hands.
