Iran international center Hamed Haddadi has joined Lebanese basketball club Champville.
The 218-cm former NBA center had also been linked with a move to Homenetmen but opted to join Champville.
Haddadi was without a team after parting company with his Chinese club Xinjiang Flying Tigers.
He was Iran’s big absent against Japan, where Team Melli lost to the East Asian team 97-89 in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Asian qualifier on Thursday.
Haddadi started his playing career in Iranian club Shahin Ahvaz in 1999 and joined Memphis Grizzlies in 2008 and played in the NBA team for five years.
