The head of Iran’s Judiciary on Monday cautioned protesting students and workers against serving as “ladders” for enemies of the Islamic Republic.
Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani was referring to recent protests in a branch of the Islamic Azad University over a deadly bus accident as well as protests in some places in the country by workers over lack of payments.
According to ILNA, the ayatollah also said enemies are playing another “sedition” like the protests which followed the presidential election in 2009. “We should recognize the moment and promptly put the sedition’s eye out.”
