TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Mahdi Olad from Iran claimed a gold medal at the Men’s Discus Throw F11 of the 2018 Asian Para Games on Wednesday.
He snatched the gold medal with a throw of 42.37m. Olad also set an Asian record.
Olad had won a gold medal at the Men’s Shot Put F11 on Tuesday.
Indian Ghangas Monu came second with 35.89m and the bronze medal went to Iranian thrower 34.14m.
About 3,000 athletes with disabilities from a record 43 countries and territories are taking part in the games that opened in the Indonesian capital on Saturday.
The Asian Para Games will run through October 13.
