Addressing a meeting at the place of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) on Saturday, First Vice President Es’haq Jahangiri underscored the vitality of facilitating releasing procedures of imported goods as one the major expectations of the private sector, IRNA reported.
Jahangiri urged IRICA, Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran (ISIRI) and other affiliated state-run organizations to prevent the existing bureaucratic procedures from hindering release of imported goods, in particular, the basic goods.
The meeting which was held to discuss and solve exports and imports problems was reportedly attended by Industry, Mining and Trade Minister Mohammad Shariatmadari, the Governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) Abdolnaser Hemmati, Health Minister Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi and some other senior officials.
As IRIB quoted Head of IRICA Foroud Asgari as saying on the sidelines of the same event, presently from 4,700 to 6,000 trucks of goods are released per day.
According to him, thanks to some recent taken measures, releasing procedures are to be facilitated more in near future.
