The 20th Iran Cinema Celebration has named nominees to receive awards in various categories. ‘No Date, No Signature’ and ‘Pig’ with 10 nominations apiece are leading the list.
The 20th Iran Cinema Celebration, organized annually by the Iranian House of Cinema with an aim to observe Iran’s National Day of Cinema, has published the list of nominees in various categories, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Script, Best Actor/Actress, Best Score, etc.
‘No Date, No Signature’ directed by Vahid Jalilvand and ‘Pig’ by Mani Haghighi have received the most nominations – ten nominations apiece. Following those two are ‘Damascus Time’ by Ebrahim Hatamikia and ‘Asphyxia’ Freydoun Jeyrani, which received nominations in seven different categories each.
‘No Date, No Signature’ has recently won the Best Film Award at the Brussels International Film Festival.

This year’s award ceremony has been canceled due to the current economic situation in the country.
Last year, Oscar-winning ‘The Salesman’ by Asghar Farhadi won the Best Film award at the event.
