Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Indian Foreign Secretary Gokhale urged the international community to preserve the JCPOA.
Iran and India stressed on Monday the importance of the JCPOA as an important diplomatic achievement which affects not only the signatory countries but also the international community.
The announcement was made during a meeting between Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Seyyed Abbas Araghchi and Vijay Keshav Gokhale the Foreign Secretary of India.
Mr. Araghchi, who is visiting New Delhi at the head of a diplomatic delegation, jointly with Mr. Gokhale chaired the 15th session of Iran-India political consultations meeting which was attended by representatives from government organizations and offices of both Iran and India.
In these meetings, the two sides exchanged views on the latest developments in areas of the JCPOA and bilateral relations and discussed the ways to keep bilateral interactions between Tehran and New Delhi after the US unilateral exit from the nuclear deal of 2015.
