The champion of Iranian Volleyball Super League Paykan has left Tehran for Kazakhstan to attend the 2018 Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship.
The Iranian club has been seeded with the host country Kazakhstan, as well as Taiwan and Vietnam in group B of the tournament.
Thailand, China, Japan are pitted in group A, while in group C, there are Vietnam, Indonesia, Sri Lanka’s teams.
The Iranian girls will play their first match against the host country Kazakhstan on Wednesday July 11 at 18:30 local time.
They will take on Taiwan’s team on Thursday at 17:30 local time.
The 2018 Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship will be the 19th edition of the Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship, an international volleyball club tournament organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with the Volleyball Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan (VFRK). It is scheduled to be held in Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan from 11 to 18 July 2018. The tournament will serve as the Asian qualifiers for the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship with the champion qualifying for the World Championship.
