Iran’s Pardis Technology Park (PTP) and Poland’s Wroclaw Technology Park (WPT) have signed a memorandum of understanding on Sat. aimed at expanding joint scientific cooperation.
The MoU was signed on the sidelines of the 7th International Innovation and Technology Exhibition (INOTEX 2018) in Tehran.
INOTEX is the premier regional event for professionals engaged in technology and innovation, organized by Pardis Technology Park and the Vice presidency for Science and Technology (ISTI) and the Presidential Center for Innovation and Technology Cooperation (CITC). The event ran from 5-7 July, 2018, with participation of some 150 startups, 16 accelerators, 11 venture capitalists and over 100 knowledge-based companies.
The agreement signed with Poland’s WPT is valid for five years, aimed at providing the ground for expansion of technological cooperation.
Under the MoU, the Iranian and Polish sides will establish partner companies and launch joint research, as well as share experiences and discover new opportunities by the two countries’ technology parks.
The PTP Director General of Communications and International Affairs, Amin Reza Khaleghian, expressed hope that Iranian companies would be able to establish their sales offices in Poland in the near future.
“Many foreign companies are eager to do business with Iran, and given the current situation with the US’ posing obstacles for European countries, we are making every effort to establish a link with the interested companies to make use of this potential,” he added.
