An Iranian cargo train, heading to Turkey, ran off the tracks in Khoy, West Azerbaijan Azerbaijan.

Khoy governor Seyed Mohammad Abedi told reporters this morning that an Iranian cargo train was derailed on the way to Turkey at 11:30 local time after it ran into a landslide on the track.

According to Abedi, the diesel train and its six wagons were derailed and turned upside down near ‘Habash’ village.

The governor added that two train drivers were injured in the accident, while the train is seriously damaged.

He further said that paramedic groups have been dispatched to the scene and technical teams are clearing the railway to resume its activities.
