TEHRAN – The inter-parliamentary union of Islamic countries is scheduled to hold an emergency meeting on Monday on Trump’s decision to move the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv Israel to al-Quds (Jerusalem), a lawmaker said on Sunday.
Kazem Jalali, a member of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, said 22 countries are slated to attend the meeting, which will be hosted by Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani.
Trump is set to address the opening ceremony of U.S. embassy in the occupied city of al-Quds by video on Monday, months after declaring the holy city as Israel’s capital.
