Major publisher of medical books Quintessence to attend Tehran fair

TEHRAN – The Quintessence International Publishing Group, a major international company that provides professional and student dental and medical books, journals and multimedia, will attend the 31st Tehran International Book Fair, which will open this Wednesday.

This is second time the publisher has been invited to the book fair, the organizers announced on Saturday.

Established in 1949 in Berlin, the company launched its first English-language journal, Quintessence International, in 1969 and then opened its U.S. office in Chicago in 1973.

It also enjoys publishing houses in 14 countries and licensing partners in another 7 countries.

Walter de Gruyter GmbH, another German publisher specializing in academic literature, is also scheduled to attend the event.

A number of international publishing companies will attend the book fair for the first time.

Among them is the New York-based company Demos Medical Publishing that publishes books on neurology, oncology, pathology and other medical subjects.

The CRC Press, LLC, a publishing group that specializes in producing technical books, is another U.S. company invited to the book fair.

Scion Publishing and JP Medical, two major publishers from the UK that produce medical and science books have also applied to participate in the event, which will run for ten days at Imam Khomeini Mosalla in Tehran.
