TEHRAN – The Iranian movies “Maned & Macho” by Shiva Sadeq-Asadi and “The Distance” by Yusef Kargar will compete in the 35th Busan International Short Film Festival, which will run in the South Korean city from April 24 to 29.
“Maned and Macho” is about a girl’s repressed emotions and instincts, which are embodied in some animals that come out of her dreams.
“The Distance” is about Yashar who returns to Iran after several years to give news to his friend’s family, unaware of the news he would hear from that family.
A lineup of 42 films from 35 countries has been selected to screen at the Busan festival.
