Sorayya Aghaei from Iran claimed a silver medal at the Yonex Sunrise Nepal International Series 2017 on Sunday.
In the women’s singles final, Aghaei lost to Deng Joy Xuan of Hong Kong 2-0.
Aghaei had defeated Thet Htar Tuzar of Myanmar 20-22, 21-18, 25-23 and Joy Xuan outplayed Thi Trang of Vietnam 21-18, 21-19 to enter the women’s singles final.
Yonex Sunrise Nepal International Series 2017 sanctioned by Badminton World Federation and Badminton Asia with prize money of US $8,000.
The event was held from December 21 to 24 at Dashath National Stadium, Kathmandu, Nepal.
