TEHRAN – Rasoul Khadem has been elected for another four-year term as the Islamic Republic of Iran Wrestling Federation President on Tuesday.
He will serve as president of the Federation for four more years until 2021.
In the elections held at the Iran’s Academy Olympic in Tehran, Khadem secured 40 of 40 votes cast.
Abbas Jadidi left the election with no vote.
Rasoul Khadem has won a bronze medal in the 1992 Summer Olympics and a gold medal in the 1996 Summer Olympics.
He is also the 1994 and 1995 world champion and the 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995 and 1996 Asian champion.
Khadem was trained by his father Mohammad Khadem, and he is the brother of Amir Reza Khadem, two-time Olympic bronze medalist.
