Iran police announce extradition of two foreign murder suspects
TEHRAN (Iran News) Colonel Mahmoudi said on Wednesday that, based on judicial authorities’ notifications, the two foreign nationals were wanted for murder. After allegedly kidnapping and killing an individual in a neighboring country, the suspects fled and initially entered Iran—one legally and the other unlawfully.
The colonel explained that, leveraging Interpol’s resources and coordinating with relevant domestic and foreign agencies, the Iranian authorities obtained a Red Notice for the two suspects. Identifying their hiding locations became a priority, he added.
Through continuous follow-ups and technical police efforts, the suspects were located, arrested, and subsequently handed over to judicial authorities, he noted. “Iran police ”
He also stated that, alongside other actions, the suspects were ultimately extradited to their home country with the assistance of law enforcement forces.
