Baqaei says regional developments high on agenda of Turkish FM’s visit to Tehran
TEHRAN (Iran News) Speaking to Iranian state TV, the spokesperson said Fidan will meet his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi and other senior officials during the visit.
“The trip of Mr. Hakan Fidan to Iran is a continuation of the consultations that our Foreign Ministry regularly holds with neighboring countries,” Baqaei said, adding that Tehran–Ankara relations as well as regional and international issues will be discussed.
According to Baqaei, the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza and the regime’s military crackdown in the occupied West Bank, along with its attacks on Lebanon, Syria, and other regional countries, will be a main topic of discussion.
“These measures by the Zionist regime constitute the biggest threat to international peace and security, and all regional countries are concerned about them,” he said.
Through diplomatic engagements, Iran seeks to draw the international community’s attention to what it views as the most serious threat facing humanity, he added.
