Eight countries have expressed their readiness to arrest the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu due to his war crimes in the Gaza Strip.

TEHRAN (Iran News) According to Al Jazeera, Turkey, Slovenia, Lithuania, Norway, Switzerland, Ireland, Italy, and Canada have declared their readiness to arrest Netanyahu for his war crimes and the genocide of the Palestinian people.

Earlier, the Istanbul prosecutor’s office had issued arrest warrants for 37 suspects accused of involvement in the genocide in the Gaza Strip.

Among these individuals are Netanyahu, Yisrael Katz, the Israeli war minister, and Eyal Zamir, the chief of the General Staff of Israel.

These individuals are banned from entering the Turkish territory and even from passing through its airspace.

In December 2023, South Africa initiated legal proceedings against Israel, accusing the regime of violating the Genocide Convention in its treatment of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Since then, a number of countries, including Nicaragua, Colombia, Libya, Mexico, Palestine, Spain and Turkey, have joined the case.

Back in November 2024, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and his former war minister Yoav Gallant on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
