US president openly admits deception in diplomacy: Iranian Embassy in Japan

TEHRAN (Iran News)In a message on its official website on Saturday, the Embassy said Trump’s admission was shocking evidence of the fact that the US “diplomacy” was merely a “calculated deception” to keep a hidden agenda of organized violence against Iran, including attacks on its peaceful nuclear sites.

It said that those who hatched the deception plot continue to try to hide the truth and distort reality by launching a widespread disinformation campaign against the Islamic Republic.

Referring to the West’s hostile approach, the Embassy wrote further that Iran’s distrust was manifested in the betrayals of the United States and three European countries –Britain, France, and Germany, together known as E3 or Troika – and their unfulfilled promises, hypocrisy, and a fake information campaign to portray the victim as the aggressor.

The statement continued by referring to Iran’s full compliance with the 2015 nuclear deal as confirmed in 15 reports by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), saying the UN Security Council had failed to react to Trump’s unilateral withdrawal from the JCPOA and the re-imposition of crippling sanctions on Iran.

The Embassy also criticized the Security Council for its inaction on the Europeans’ failure to abide by their JCPOA commitments to normalize trade with Iran, as well as unreasonable and excessive demands put forth by the Troika and the US on Iran.

Trump, during his visit to Japan, made several anti-Iranian remarks, taking responsibility for Israeli and American attacks on the Islamic Republic and calling the strikes successful and a big day for the Tel Aviv regime.

In an earlier statement posted on its official X network, the Iranian Embassy in Tokyo sai,d “The US president’s renewed pride in an overt act of aggression against Iran, a sovereign country, confirms once again the clear violation of the fundamental principles of international law, the UN Charter, and the NPT [Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons].”

On June 13, Israel launched a blatant and unprovoked act of aggression against Iran, killing at least 1,064 people, including military commanders, nuclear scientists, and ordinary civilians. The United States also entered the war by bombing three Iranian nuclear sites in a grave violation of international law.

In response, the Iranian Armed Forces targeted strategic sites across the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories as well as a US airbase in Qatar, the largest American military base in West Asia, forcing Washington and Tel Aviv to request a ceasefire.
