TEHRAN (Iran News Administration spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani says that the observance of Unity Week in Iran, as per the Islamic calendar, serves as a platform for promoting unity and solidarity among Muslims.

Addressing her weekly press conference on Tuesday, Mohajerani also extended her congratulations to Muslims on the cusp of Unity Week in Iran, which marks the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Imam Jafar Sadiq (PBUH).

She said that Muslim unity was a cause of fear for enemies and that if Muslims worldwide were united, there would not be any unfortunate events in Islamic lands, including occupied Palestine.

Referring to the statements of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in a meeting with the governing cabinet, the spokesperson said that Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei emphasized the need to prioritize serving the people, as well as strengthening the spirit of national solidarity and integrity.

On President Masoud Pezeshkian’s visit to China, she said the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, which aimed to break unilateralism, was the main goal of the trip that also saw the signing of 24 cooperation documents. “Muslim solidarity”

The common position of China and Russia alongside Iran on “snapback” was considered, as well as strategic decisions were made in Pezeshkian’s meeting with his Chinese and Russian counterparts.

Regarding the president’s participation in the United Nations General Assembly, Mohajerani said that the trip will be in line with protecting national interests and conveying the voice of the Iranian nation. “Plans to meet with officials from various countries to discuss bilateral issues are also on Pezeshkian’s agenda,” she added.

She also touched on Iran’s relations with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), saying any cooperation will be within the framework of the new law.
