Venezuelan foreign minister hails Iran’s solidarity amid US threats
TEHRAN (Iran News) Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil Pinto has praised Iran’s solidarity and support for his country’s independence, stressing Caracas’ determination to defend its sovereignty against US threats.
In a phone call with Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, the two top diplomats discussed bilateral relations and the latest developments in the Caribbean.
Pinto briefed Araghchi on the situation in the region following escalating threats and unlawful claims by the United States against Venezuela.
He voiced appreciation for Tehran’s continued backing, emphasizing that the Venezuelan people and government remain steadfast in defending their independence and national sovereignty against US ambitions and pressure.
Araghchi, for his part, condemned Washington’s hostile actions, describing the US’s unilateral and confrontational approach as a growing danger to global peace and stability.
He rejected the US allegations against Venezuela as baseless and denounced threats of military force against the country.
