Pakistan Independence Day Celebrated in Tehran

TEHRAN (Iran News)  The ceremony commenced with hoisting of the national flag by H.E. Muhammad Mudassir Tipu, Ambassador of Pakistan in Tehran on the tune of national anthem.

While paying tribute to the exemplary courage of the Armed Forces of Pakistan, Ambassador Mudassir said, our Forces are always ready to defend our frontiers against all enemies. The Marka e Haq became successful due to their unparalleled defense capabilities in May 2025.

Ambassador Mudassir also paid tribute to the sacrifices of our forefathers in the establishment of Pakistan under leadership of Quaid Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

While congratulating the Pakistani diaspora on Pakistan’s Independence Day, Ambassador, Mudassir, thanked the community members for participating in the celebrations. He also thanked them for their contributions and efforts in socio economic spheres of Iran and promotion of bilateral relations. Referring to the successful visit of President Pezeshkian he said, Pakistan and Iran are determined to enhance their trade volume up to 10 billion dollars and to achieve this target the contribution of Pakistani diaspora in Iran is very significant.

Pakistan has faced multiple challenges, since Independence but by the grace of Almighty Allah and with the dedication and hard work of Pakistanis, the nation has continued forwarding as a modern and progressive state and has a distinguished position among comity of nations, he added.

On the occasion the messages of President and Prime Minister of Pakistan were also read out. A collective prayer was also offered for all those who laid their lives to get this home land and all those who sacrificed their lives to defend our mother land and a special prayer for our brothers in Kashmir and Palestine was also offered.

In the end a cake was also cut to celebrate Independence Day and to commemorate the victory of Marka e Haq and Bunyan un Marsoos.
