TEHRAN – The French critic Matthieu Darras has been selected for the jury of the international section of the 11th edition of Cinema Verite, the organizers have announced.
Italian documentarian Gianfranco Rosi is also the other jury member for the international section.
Darras is the artistic director of TorinoFilmLab, an international laboratory that supports emerging talent from all over the world.
He also collaborates with various film talent initiatives, such as When East Meets West’s First Cut Lab or Venice Production Bridge.
As a festival programmer, Darras has notably worked for Cannes Critics’ Week, and he is currently the delegate for the San Sebastian Film Festival in charge of Eastern Europe.
The Experimental and Documentary Film Center is the organizer of the Cinema Verite festival, whose 11th edition will be held in Tehran from December 10 to 17.
