TEHRAN (Iran News) Heading a high-ranking diplomatic delegation, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi held a meeting with his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani in Doha on Thursday.
The two senior diplomats talked about the expansion of relations between Tehran and Doha, discussed issues of mutual interest at the regional and international levels, reviewed the latest developments in Lebanon and Palestine, and stressed the need to halt the Zionist regime’s warmongering policies and crimes.
Hailing Qatar’s role in the joint efforts to stop the Israeli war on Gaza and Lebanon, Araqchi slammed the Zionist regime’s belligerence as the root cause of insecurity and instability in the region.
The Iranian foreign minister also called for the employment of all regional capacities to put an immediate end to the war and prevent the continuation of genocide and destruction of infrastructures in Lebanon and Palestine at the hands of Israel.
For his part, the Qatari foreign minister emphasized the necessity of promoting friendly relations between Qatar and Iran.
Pointing to the course of bilateral consultations on the regional developments, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani called for regional cooperation to stop the Israeli war and atrocities, achieve sustainable security and stability in the region, and help the people of Palestine and Lebanon.
