TEHRAN (Iran News) In a meeting with President of the European Council Charles Michel, held in New York on Monday, Pezeshkian reiterated that Iran has never provided Russia with ballistic missiles.
The president emphasized that Iran only seeks the cessation of military conflicts between Russia and Ukraine and favors peace.
On the concerns about Iran’s nuclear program, Pezeshkian said Tehran has expressed its determination to settle the issue.
Today, Iran is prepared for negotiations and efforts to resolve the problems, he added.
“Iran has not been and is not after nuclear weapons by any means, and welcomes and backs any measure to create and strengthen peace and security in the region and the world,” the president stated.
Michel, for his part, said the European Union expects Iran to play a constructive role in the issues relating to its nuclear program, Palestine, and the Ukraine war.
The EU is always prepared for cooperation and dialogue to find joint solutions to various problems, he added, expressing hope for the continuation of talks between Iran and the EU.
