Kazakhstan Deputy PM Due in Tehran
TEHRAN (Iran News) According to the reports, the Iran-Kazakhstan Joint Economic Commission is to be held in Tehran today and the Kazakh delegation will attend it as the delegation is led by Kazakhstan Deputy Prime Minister and is comprised of some senior economic and trade officials as well as representatives of some businesses of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, both sides are to sign some agreements and MoUs on cooperation in different fields.
In recent years, the cooperation between Iran and Kazakhstan has soared especially in the economic sphere.
According to recent report, the value of Iran’s non-oil export to Kazakhstan increased by 12 percent during the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-October 22), as compared to the same period of time in the past year.
Last months, the spokesman of the International Relations and Trade Development Committee of Iran’s House of Industry, Mining and Trade Ruhollah Latifi said that Iran exported non-oil commodities worth $104.412 million to Kazakhstan in the seven-month period of this year.
He also announced that Iran imported commodities valued at $42.882 million from Kazakhstan during the first seven months of this year, with 51 percent drop year on year.
The value of Iran-Kazakhstan annual trade also rose 20 percent in the past year.
