TEHRAN– Iranian President Hassan Rouhani pointed to the huge turnout of people in performing Arbaeen rituals and called on rulers of regional countries to be vigilant and move towards unity and amity.”
Speaking at the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, he placed special emphasis on the necessity of establishing empathy and solidarity among regional countries and said “it is obvious that US and Zionist regime spread sows of discord in the region and have made their utmost efforts to destabilize the region for many years.”
He criticized Saudi Arabian rulers who fueled war in the region and said “it is for approx. two years that this Arabic country is bombarding Yemen for unknown reason and has spread war in the region.”
Rouhani pointed his finger towards Saudi Arabia and said “ISIL terrorist group came to being at the financial support of Saudi Arabia. In the meantime, establishing peace, security and stability in the region is followed up strictly by the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, he said “great Western powers sought to disrupt Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the official title of nuclear deal but their attempts failed. Under such circumstances, they followed up their malicious objectives in order to spread instability in the region.”
He further noted to Arba’een ceremony which is of paramount importance in politically and regionally and said “in this auspicious day, millions of people across the world reach themselves to the holy mausoleum of Imam Hussein (AS) in order to perform Arba’een (fortieth day after Imam Hossein (AS) was martyred in Kabala).”
Rouhani seized this opportunity to express his special thanks to all people and responsible organizations such as ministries of Roads, Education and Foreign Affairs, governor-generalship, local officials, Armed Forces, IRIB, etc. which rolled up their sleeves in order to offer quality services to the pilgrims and mourners of Imam Hussein (AS).”
In the end, President Rouhani said “apart from spiritual rewards, making attempt to perform this auspicious ceremony is of paramount importance politically and regionally.”
