TEHRAN (Iran News) –The CEO of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) says works for accelerating the trend of completion of important and strategic projects especially developing the joint fields are underway, adding that the maximum volume of operation in the joint South Pars field for producing gas is underway.
Speaking in a ceremony, Mohsen Khojasteh-Mehr said that the country is on the eve of entering the winter and his colleagues in the company do their best and produce over 1b cubic meters of gas per day and there is maximum readiness to bring relative comfort for the people in this winter.
He added that development of South Azadegan Oil Field is underway with full speed, adding that one of the important priorities of the company is maximum production and fast development in all joint oil and gas fields.
He also said that some of the EPD and EPC projects are in the exploitation phase, adding that last week recovery from Esfand and Sivan fields started with daily recovery of 16,000 barrels and they are ready for official exploitation.
Khojasteh-Mehr went on to say that some other projects will officially be exploited in February, adding that these days they witness the maximum volume of operation in the joint South Pars gas field and last week a valuable experience was gained and one of the biggest gas platforms of South Pars was removed with maximum precision and this 4,000-ton platform will be soon installed in B11 position and this is considered a symbolic act from the company.
He then pointed to several operations are underway in Assalouyeh and the Persian Gulf, adding that drilling of four wells of the development project of Phase 11 of joint South Pars gas field is in the final stage and its offshore pipelines have been completed and soon gas recovery from the Phase 11 will start.
He also said that the pipeline of the Phase 16 of South Pars is being completed. He went on to say that drilling of 70 wells in the South Pars field is of the major prioritized plans of the company.
On boosting the pressure of the gas fields in South Pars, he said that the studies for it have started with cooperation of a foreign company and Iranian companies are advancing the engineering activities of the project.
