TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iran Exports to Uzbekistan Soars by 370% in 5 Months. According to the latest report released by Iran Trade Promotion Organization, Iran’s exports to Uzbekistan have increased by 370 percent in the first five months of the current year comparing to the same period last year and Uzbekistan became the second major export destination after Russia among the CIS states.
According to the public relations of the organization, the second meeting of experts of Iran and Uzbekistan for preparing the ground for the next meeting of Iran-Uzbekistan Joint Commission of Economic Cooperation was held wherein the experts of the two countries virtually reviewed suggestions for drafting the preferential trade agreement and the number of items on the list.
The virtual meeting was held with presence of officials of the PTO and Uzbekistan’s foreign trade and investment officials.
The 14th meeting of the Iran-Uzbekistan Joint Commission of Economic Cooperation is to convene later in October.
