TEHRAN (Iran News) – Gholamreza Norouzi was re-elected as head of Iran’s Sports Medicine Federation on Monday for a four-year term till 2025. In the elections held at Iran’s Academy Olympic, Norouzi secured 27 of 43 votes cast.
“We will keep the sports at the forefront of the fight against doping,” he said. “We want to see sports without doping.”
Norouzi says that the COVID-19 pandemic has caused the most significant disruption to the worldwide sporting calendar but the world will pass this stage.
“Memorandum of cooperation was signed between officials of Iran University Sports federation and Iran Powerlifting Union in order to promote the objectives of the university sports movement.””Khulan Enksaikhan, 25, of Mongolia scored 7.5 points out of 9 rounds to win the gold medal in the individual championship and power her team to victory in the Asian University Chess Championship in Chess.com. The tournament is organized by the National University Sports Federation of Iran under the auspices of the Asian University Sports Federation in cooperation with the Asian Chess Federation. The Asian University Chess Championship (men’s division) will start next weekend from 26th to 29th December on Chess.com. Games are scheduled at 9:00 am GMT+4. A total of 48 players from 12 countries are registered for the men’s division.”
