TEHRAN – “Gamichi”, Iranian director Majid Esmaeili’s a film on Lake Urmia and its environmental crisis, is competing in the official section of the 40th Lucas International Festival for Young Film Lovers, which is underway in Frankfurt, Germany.
The film is about a young boy, Hassan, who lives near Lake Urmia with his family. The lake is drying up so they have to sale their boat.
Hassan tries to keep the old boat and wait for his father, who has left the family for earning money.
The festival will come to an end on Saturday.
