TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iranian soccer referee Bijan Heidari has been appointed as one of the judges to officiate at the 2020 the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup.

Iranian international referee Bijan Heidari has been invited to judge Defenders and Paro FC match in Sri Lanka on January 22, 2020.

Last month, it was announced that Iranian referee Alireza Faqani and his team of compatriot linesmen and assistants had been invited by the AFC to officiate in the AFC U-23 Championship which is to be held in Thailand in January.

Earlier in July 2018, another Iranian referee Faqani together with compatriot linesmen Reza Sokhandan and Mohammad Mansouri officiated the 2018 Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) World Cup third-place playoff between Belgium and England.

Iranian referee Alireza Faqani and his team of compatriot linesmen and assistants have been invited by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to officiate in the AFC U-23 Championship which is to be held in Thailand in January.

Faqani will be assisted by his countrymen Mohammad Reza Mansouri and Mohammad Reza Abolfazli in the competition.

The top three teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2020 Summer Olympics men’s football tournament in Japan as the AFC representatives.
