Tractor Sazi’s Irish striker Anthony Stokes returned to Iran Thursday morning.
The 30-year-old forward had left Tractor Sazi football team in late November due to personal issues but later announced that he would return to Tabriz.
Stokes, who played for Republic of Ireland from 2007 to 2014, scored 10 goals in 11 matches for the Tabriz-based football team in the first half of the Iran Professional League (IPL) season.
Tractor Sazi coach Mohammad Taghavi and Japanese attacking midfielder Yukiya Sugita also returned to Tabriz to resume the Iranian team’s training.
Tractor Sazi’s Scottish striker Lee Harry Erwin has announced he would not return to Tabriz due to feelings of homesickness.
