TEHRAN – Iran won the title of the International Blind Judo Tournament in Turkey on Saturday.
The Iranian judo fighters won two golds, two silvers and two bronzes in the competition.
Hossein Darabi in 100kg and Mohammadreza Kheirollahzadeh in +105kg won gold medals.
Sajjad Khodadadi in 66kg and Sajjad Hajebi in 90kg seized two silvers and Meysam Bani Taba in 60kg and Ali Abbasnejad in 83kg claimed two bronze medals.
The competition brought a total of 47 judo fighters from 9 countries together.
Mohesn Jafari, secretary general of Iran Sports Federation for the Blind and Visually Impaired, said the Iranian team will remain in Turkey until Wednesday to hold a training camp.
