UK Ambassador to Iran Rob Macaire said that supporting Joint Comprehensive Plan of Actions (JCPOA) should not be limited to political slogans, rather, practical support is needed so that economic ties can continue.

He made the remarks on Monday in a meeting attended by economic activists and foreign representatives of Iran in Tehran Chamber of Commerce.

As far as Iran adheres to JCPOA, UK supports Iran, he highlighted.

He went on to say that Iran and UK diplomats are trying to resolve issues raised by US re-imposition of sanctions against Iran.

Economic ties between Iran and United Kingdom have continued and numerous Memorandum of Understandings had been signed after US withdrawal, he stressed, adding, the last MoU was inked on Sunday with an Iranian company.

These meetings are important for discussing solutions and expressing support for the pact, UK envoy said, adding, Iran should also adopt measures in support of JCPOA.

There are some concerns regarding FATF (Financial Action Task Force) and Iran should solve this issue, he added.

Macaire expressed hope that the ties between the two countries would continue.
