TEHRAN – Movies by Iranian filmmakers have been selected to go on screen at two festivals in the United States.

The acclaimed shorts “Lunch Time” by Alireza Qasemi and “Light Sight” by Seyyed Moslem Tabatabai will be competing in the 26th Whitaker St. Louis International Film Festival, which will open today in the U.S. city located in the state of Missouri.

“Injured” by Mohammad-Hossein Abedini and “Maned and Macho” by Shiva Sadeq-Asadi will also go on screen in the short section of the festival, which will run until November 12.

Parastu Kardgar’s animated movie “Icky” and short film “Sleepwalker” by Behnam Afiat will go on screen at the Kansas International Film Festival that will open on Friday.

The festival will run in Overland Park, a suburb of Kansas City, until November 9.
