TEHRAN – “The money-seeker president of US demonstrated once again the colonialistic traits of US statesmen,” said Iran’s Velayati on Wednesday.
“The vulgar and undiplomatic remarks of the opportunist president of US at the podium of the United Nations demonstrated once again the colonialistic character of the statesmen of this country in contrast with the pro-peace perspective of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” reads the Wednesday post of Ali Akbar Velayati on his Instagram page.
“While such a hostile approach has continuously been practiced by US administrations in all stages after the Islamic Revolution of 1979 and it is not something new, but I hold no doubt that as in the past our country will step up in the glorious path of independence, might, and development,” closes his post Mr. Velayati.
Velayati’s post comes one day after US President Trump attacked on Iran in the UNGA address of himself on Tuesday.
