Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said Wed. that national media can play an effective role in mobilizing the public opinion against targeted pressure by the enemies.
Speaking in a meeting with IRIB chief and senior managers late on Wednesday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani highlighted the significance of ‘social capital’, adding “promoting trust and solidarity between the people and the system is an important principle and the national media can play a very effective role in creating hope in the society.”
Rouhani said IRIB has a very effective role in national security, adding that enemies are antagonistic toward Iran because of the many successes achieved by the Iranian nation in various international, regional and economic fields.
Our enemies are angry at us, because of our successful holding of elections, our fight against ISIL in the region, our role in regional stability and security, as well as supporting the oppressed Palestinian people, President Rouhani noted.
He also said that the Iranian nation will never give in to illogical pressures and plots of the US government, adding “we must try to alleviate people’s concerns about the future and assure them that they will never face any problems for their basic needs.”
“National media can boost hope and mobilize the public opinion to fight and stand against targeted pressures of the enemies,” he stressed.
