Iranian President Hassan Rouhani forwarded on Saturday a message of congratulations to his Syrian counterpart, President Bashar al-Assad, to felicitate the Syrian National and Independence Day.
In a congratulatory message cabled on Saturday Iranian President Hassan Rouhani felicitated the Syrian President, nation and government on the advent of April 17, the country’s National Day, and wished health and success for Bashar Assad, and continued happiness for the people and government of Syria.
“The selfless nation of Syria are carrying out a relentless resistance to defuse the plots hatched by enemies and save their country from the evil of terrorism as they went through toils and hardships in the past to garner independence and expel the colonizers from their country,” he said in the message.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran is beside the Syrian government and nation and will continue providing supports and helps to eradicate the evil of terrorism and restore security and stability all across the Arab Republic of Syria,” reads the message of President Rouhani.
