Could there be a connection between the Marnan Bridge in Isfahan Iran and the Irish monk /saint Marnan who relocated from Ireland and settled in North East Scotland in the 6th century A.D. ?
It would appear that the foundations of the Bridge may have been built during Marnan’s lifetime.
At birth I was named after Marnan and then lived the first 12 years of my life very close to where Marnan lived the rest of his life after moving to N.E. Scotland.
I visited Isfahan in 2016 and was amazed to find the Marnan Bridge by chance.
    Yours sincerely,
