After Arash Miresmaeili won world titles in 2001 and 2003, it is fifteen year later that Mollaei wrote history for his country.

The bronze medal jointly went to German Alexander Wieczerzak and Vedat Albayrak of Turkey.

Mohammad Mohammadi Barimanloo from Iran had won a bronze medal in the under-73kg category on Saturday.
