“Two armed terrorist cells” which had illegally crossed into Iran were dismantled by intelligence forces in Iranian north western province of West Azerbaijan during two ambush operations, according to a statement issued by Iranian Intelligence Ministry on Sunday.

The two terrorist cells were identified by intelligence forces of the province after a series of serious anti-espionage operations.

The announcement also adds that Hamzeh Seyyed-o-Shohada Headquarters contributed to the operation.

During the operation, two terrorists were killed and a host of others were arrested while carrying rifles, grenades, and ammunition.

Earlier today, the IRGC announced that a terrorist cell which sought to enter the country from Nodsheh region in the north of Kermanshah province with the aim of conducting acts of sabotage and terror was dismantled by the IRGC Ground Forces Najaf base on Saturday afternoon.
