TEHRAN – Iran’s largest auto manufacturer, Iran Khodro Industrial Group (IKCO), has opened production line for two new vehicles on Saturday.

The Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani and the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Mohammad Shariatmadari visited Iran Khodro Industrial Group in order to give speeches at the inauguration ceremony for the manufacture of Iran Khodro’s two new models.

One of the new products is Dena+ Turbo charge, an upgraded version of a mid-sized four-door class-D sedan which has been designed by domestic experts at IKCO’s Research and Development Center.

Dena+, with an Iranian-built EF7 engine producing 113 horsepower, ensures great safety, has a powerful engine and is equipped with Turbo charger. It is said to have a fuel efficiency rating of 7.74 liters per 100 kilometers.

It was previously said that Dena+ would be sold at around $12,000.

The other product unveiled today was Peugeot 207 automatic hatchback, which is produced with respect to the preference of Iranian customers for sedans. An automatic gearbox is fitted in the car.

Considered as tge biggest automotive group in the Middle East, IKCO has set up production lines in Venezuela, Belarus, Senegal, and Azerbaijan.
